A lady Canadian libertarian wrote a lot of letters to the government, complaining about the treatment of captive insurgents (terrorists) being held in Afghanistan National Correctional System facilities. She received back the following reply:

Thank you for your recent letter expressing your profound concern of treatment of the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists captured by Canadian Forces who were subsequently transferred to the Afghanistan Government and are currently being held by Afghan officials in Afghanistan National Correctional System facilities.

Our administration takes these matters seriously and your opinions were heard loud and clear here in Ottawa. You will be pleased to learn, thanks to the concerns of citizens like yourself; we are creating a new department here at the Department of
National Defense, to be called 'Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers' program, or L.A.R.K. for short.

In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have decided to divert one terrorist and place him in your personal care.Your personal detainee has been selected and is scheduled for transportation under heavily armed guard to your residence in Toronto next Monday. Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud (you can just call him Ahmed) is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your letter of complaint. It will likely be necessary for you to hire some assistant caretakers.. We will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with those you so strongly recommend in your letter.

Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that your sensitivity to what you described as his 'attitudinal problem' will help him overcome these character flaws. Perhaps you are correct in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. We understand that you plan to offer counseling and home
schooling.

Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or nail clippers. We advise that you do not ask him to demonstrate these skills at your next yoga group. He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive devices from common
household products, so you may wish to keep those items locked up,unless (in your opinion) this might offend him.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughters (except sexually) since he views females as a subhuman form of property. This is a particularly sensitive subject for him and he has been known to show violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the new dress code that he will recommend as more appropriate
attire. I'm sure you will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the burka over time. Just remember that it is all part of 'respecting his culture and religious beliefs' as described in your letter.

Thanks again for your concern. We truly appreciate it when folks like you keep us informed of the proper way to do our job and care for our fellow man. You take good care of Ahmed and remember, we'll be watching. Good luck and God bless you.

Dear Friends,

I have been turning out posts on posts about the pseudo secularist policies of the government like a maniac. However I never thought that the Congress government would stoop to this level. This is not pseudo secularism, it is not even being pro-islam, it is just being pro-terrorism ( althought I am not sure if these are indeed not the same).

The plight of the Indian security forces needs to be highlighted and given its due share of attention. I would like to bring to the attention of the readers two incidents which come readily to my mind and hopefully to yours.

1. Parliament Attack : Jawaans of the Delhi Police bravely foiled a determined attack of the islamist jehadis to blow up the parliament. Many of them made them were killed in the ensuing battle. They gave their lives but didn't allow the islamists to succeed in their nefarious designs. All FOR NOTHING!!! One part of me still wishes that it would have been better if the Jawaans had just stepped aside and let the terrorists blow the parliament. What were they protecting anyway? Corrupt politicians and history sheeters who are too self centred to think about the country? Rapists, murderers , frausters , scamsters the list goes on.
The jawans made the supreme sacrifice serving their nation but has the nation not betrayed these valiant soldiers? The very people they died trying to save have stabbed them in the back.
-- Mohammed Afzal has not been hanged. Congress in order to score a few brownie points with the muslims , has postponed his death sentence indefinitely. There isalso a growing demand from within the government to commute his death sentence to something milder.
The official excuse that the government put forwars is that hanging Afzal would dent Sarabjit's chances of getting a reprieve. If it is so , does it mean that from now on we would not punish even the most hardened of terrorists ?

-- Mohammed Afzal gets a special meal of mughlai food and his choice biryanis. All this while the family members of the shaheed jawaans are struggling to meet ends meets. The sole bread earner dead fighting for a "nothing" cause. If this is how we treat our martyrs can we really expect them to take a bullet for us? What a shame!!!

2. Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma :
There are thousands of cases like Inspector Sharma's but I pick this one as it a recent one and still fresh in the minds of most of the people. Inspector Sharma was killed in an encounter with the islamic terrorists in Jamia Nagar(Delhi). Any one who is aware of the demographics of Delhi would instantly recognise that it a Muslim ghetto. Most of the islamic terrorists use Jamia as a safe haven and quite a safe haven it has proven to be. The residents of the area are questioning the manner in which the encounter was carried out by Delhi Police. Some of the objections put forward by them are :--
-- Why weren't the resident (muslims) taken into confidence before launching the operation.?
Does it mean that the Indian security forces and law enforcement agencies need a go ahead from the muslim clerics and not from their officers? With another term , who knows congress might make this a mandatory process.

--- The muslim residents claim that Delhi police carried out a fake encounter.
It must a unique act of foolishness by India's premiere police force if they manage to kill one of their own senior officers in a fake encoutner.

--- VC of Jamia offers terrorists Legal Aid
The VC of Jamia has come out openly in support of the muslim terrorists and has offered them legal aid. Just for the information of the readers , Jamia is a fully government aided university. The expenses of the university are paid by the Hindu majority tax payers. So some part of your money will be spent in defending the terrorists. Makes me feel good about being a good citizen and paying my taxes.

This proves my earlier contention that terrorists are not only supported by the illiterate muslims. To the contrary the more educated a muslim is the more fanatic he is as amply proved by the support extended to the terrorists by the VC of Jamia. Osama Bin Laden is a civil engineer and all the 9-11 hijackers were educated muslims. The problem is education or lack thereof -- The Problem is Islam and islamic fundamentalists.

When this act of blatant treason by the VC was criticised by some quarters of the Media, Human Resources Minister Mr. Arjun Singh stepped into the ring to defend the VC. He even went one step further and anounced that government would order an enquiry into the encounter.

This is how Indian government treats its heroes --By soiling the memories of the shaheeds. Brave soldiers lay down their lives and the pseudo secularist government casts aspersions on their integrity. If this continues it would not be very long before the morale of the forces hits so low that it would deter them from bringing terrorists and anti-nationals to book.

With this I come to the question that I started with : Khaaki Ya Khaak ?

LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; EQUALITY of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all
FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation; IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this twenty-sixth day of November, 1949, do HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION.

Nothing can be further from the truth. India today has become Islamic republic of India.Secularism means total independence of state and religion. In India it means just being pro-muslim. Anybody who knows anything about Indian politics today would know it for a fact that a "secular" party means a party which is against Hindu-Nationalists and would fight it tooth and nail to keep them away from power. Infact anybody who is sympathetic to the cause of Hindus/Sikhs is instantly dubbed as a "Right Wing Fanatic". However, these (pseudo) secularist find it decidedly convenient to hob-nob with the fundamental elements from the muslim community.UPA coalition which champions the cause of secularism in India has Muslim as one of its allies in Kerela !!! But ofcourse what else is secularism if not being pro-muslim?

Many of my friends and critics would accuse me of having a jaundiced vision ? I respect their views and am posting a few questions which I would like my "broad-minded & forward thinking" intellectual friends to answer. I would not censure any comments and would publish all.

Here are my questions:-

1. My first argument is based on two premises. a- India is a secular country and b- equality for its citizens. I can assume them to hold true given the fact that our constitution guarantees them.If these premises are true how come we have seperate rules for Jammu & Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir has a seperate constitution , a seperate flag and constitution. When all the other princely states and regions have been fully integrated into the Indian union, why this aberration? Is it a co-incidence that Kashmir is a muslim majority state?

2. Why did we never have a Hindu Chief Minister in J & K when we have had a muslim chief minister in most of the other states ? Does it mean that the muslims are not broad minded enough to vote for a Hindu/Sikh? Statistics proof that muslim majority disctricts vote in a muslim candidate a whopping 97% of times. A coincidence?

3. This one irks me the most. Muslims get hajj subsidy to visit Mecca. They are provided heavily subsidised air tickets, free accomodation in Mecca and the best of medical facilities there.All funded by the tax paid by the Hindu Majority. There is even a special Hajj Terminal at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi .There are Hajj commities in all major Indian cities so that the muslims do not have to bear the inconvenience of travelling to the Metroes for paperwork.
What does the Indian government do for the Hindus and Sikhs? Nothing!!! The government could provide the Amarnath Shrine committee with enough land and shamelessly bowed before the kashmiri muslims. Sample this. Hindus get no subsidy for kailash mansarovar pilgrimage. The trek to the holy lake is difficult and the terrain is trecherous. Indian government which provides the best medical facilities to the Indian muslims during Hajj and flies in highly trained doctors to ensure it , does not provide Hindus even the basic medical facilities.

3. Indian government wants to lift the ban on SIMI !!! Need I say more?

4. Why are all terrorists muslims? I would broaden the scope of this questions as Islamic terrorism is not limited to India but is a world wide malaise now. Why are we in denial ? What do we not admit that India is grappling with this when most other countries around the world have taken a cognizance of the situation ?

5. This should have been the very first question? Inspite of having an overwhelming Hindu Majority why is India a pro-muslim country. I have already established that it is not secular.

6. Why do we go that extra mile in accomodating muslims. There are millions of illegal bangladeshi muslims in all major cities of India. Yet the government does not throw them out because they are muslims. These bangladeshi muslims have been instrumental in most of the bomb blasts in the past couple of years.

7. A gurudwaara was razed to ground in Pakistan and temples were demolished in kazakhstan.Indian government didn't even lodge a protest either in official forum or otherwise. However, the congress government was the among the first in the world to condemn the danish cartoons of the Mohammed in the strongest terms. And to think about it ,it wasnt even an Indian issue. The fact that muslims in India rioted in protest of the cartoons and killed and looted Hindus is another matter all together.

8. Why does the government always talk of gujarat riots and about burning alive of sixty hindus which were the immediate cause for the riots? Does it mean that government would rather have hindus as the victims ?

9. Why does the government take no steps to repatriate the Kashmiri Pandits. Kashmiri Hindus were thrown out of their own land. They still live in deplorable conditions with no succour from the government. It does not even condemn those riots. Why?

10. Why are anti-terror laws not implemented. The congress dubs them as "anti-minorities". There rests my case.

Why Do Muslims have a problem with Hindus ? Incidents allover India for over 1500 years bear witness to this fact.
Why Do muslims hate christians?
Why Do muslims hate the Jews?
Why Do muslims hate the Buddhists? Destruction of Bamiyan Buddhas
Why Do they hate Sikhs? Killed their Gurus and their children.

Any Answers?
If Islam is Indeed a peaceful religion , How come all terrorists are muslims (okay only 96 % yeah yeah I know)?

Congress Policy for Minorities Vis-a-vis Sikhs & Muslims

I have been away from the blog scene for close to two years. Normally one would expect a lot to change in a stretch of time this long.But if I look , has it really ? Bomb blasts in all major cities of the country , corrupt politicians, decadent judicial system , rising inflation.Hell nothing has changed, at-least not for the better.

Congress government continues to do what it does best: Muslim Appeasement. I don't agree with the use of the term "minority-appeasement". There is no appeasement of the real minorities in India. A community which comprises more than sixteen percent of world's second most populous country is certainly not a minority community by any stretch of imagination. Congress government has pursued unabashedly a policy of Muslim appeasement and has totally detached itself from the needs and interests of the Hindus and Sikhs.

Congress calls itself the "vanguard-of-secularism" in India. Thats good enough for rhetoric, but lets see if they practice what they preach. A party ,which cries itself hoarse over the Gujarat riots and how Hindu fundamentalists have perpetrated atrocities on the helpless-and-peaceful Muslims in India, has a rather dubious record itself when it comes to secularism.

Congress carried out the worst ethic-cleansing pogrom witnessed in post-independence India. Congress workers ,with the support of the government, killed thousands of innocent Sikhs to avenge the death of Indira Gandhi. Many Sikhs were forced to flee from India to escape death, torture and persecution by the state. And this to the India's most patriotic community. Adding salt to the wounds of the Sikh community was Rajiv Gandhi's statement " When a large tree falls the earth is bound to shake". There has been no apology to the Sikh community either for destroying their holiest shrine or for the riots. Also it is curious to note that Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale was a rather unknown figure till Indira Gandhi decided to upstage the Akalis with his aid. There is no evidence to prove that Bhindrawale was going ahead with a plan for creation of seperate homeland for the Sikhs: Khalistan.And more perplexing question is why did the government order the Army to rage the temple when the army had already cut the supply lines of the militants. The terrorists could not lasted long without food and water.Yet the army was ordered to enter (and destroy) the Golden Temple.Congress government succeeded in scripting one of the darkest chapters of the Indian history.It took more than ten years and a countless number of innocent lives before normalcy returned to Punjab.Yet Congress is a secular party.

When it comes to Muslims, we see a policy which is totally different from the one that was adopted towards the Sikhs.Congress ,as is its wont, kept silent when more than sixty Hindus were burnt alive but started to cry itself hoarse when the Hindus started to retaliate. Sonia Gandhi called it a national shame and immediately asked for Modi's head.In all the ensuing mudsling and name calling, the victims of sabarmati express were consigned to the pages of "national reports" and faded into oblivion. India's constitution declares it to be a "secular nation". But is it secular in the real sense of the word ? It is a land where a muslim life is valued more than a Hindu/Sikh life.It is ironic that in a country of overwhelming Hindu majority , Hindus have become second class citizens. know many people would not believe this.The state has systematically undermined the constitution to favour one community against the others.

Bihar, Bovines and The Algebra of life

Five people torched to death. The issue , a trivial one , disputed ownership of a Buffalo. Although it might be perceived by few as an isolated incident , but to discerning eyes it is symptomatic of a deeper malaise.

Caste tensions and eventually caste wars are not new to BIHAR. Casteism single handedly has been responsible for not letting the state jump onto the development bandwagon , rather to make matters worse it is pulling it down and the state is crashing heads first. The state of affairs in Bihar is degenerating by the day and some drastic measures need to be taken to stem the rot before it spreads like a cancer and renders it beyond help . Once (in the 1950s and the early 60s ) Bihar could proudly lay claim to being the best administered state but now if we were to tell this to anyone we would get those "We-know-better" glares. Bihar's honeymoon with administrative discipline , law and order and prosperity ended long ago , most probably with Shri Krishna Singh's tenure as the chief minister. He is undoubtably one of the best chief ministers to have ruled over any state and undeniably the best to rule Bihar . During Mr Singh's tenure at the helm Bihar prospered as new industries were setup here. Bihar figured prominently in Nehru's scheme of things vis-a-vis the industrial revolution in India as Bihar became the hub of heavy industrial setup having an ecclectic ensemble of industries both large and small scale . Petroleum refinery , a fertilizer plant and Thermal power station were setup in Barauni ( Distt Begusarai) , there were steel plants in Bokaro and Jamshedpur.

In the field of Education Bihar was doing equally good. In times when the number of engineering colleges in the country could be counted on one's finger tips , Bihar had engineering colleges at Sindri , Muzzafarpur and Jamshedpur. Patna science college produced the best talents and brains in the country.

The downfall of Bihar started , I daresay, with JP Movement. I know I have ruffled a few feathers by saying this , but the fact of the matter is , JP Movement set the wheel of Bihar's downfall in motion. Students shunned colleges , government employees their offices and the whole state came to a grinding halt. When this movement stopped , Alas, Bihar could not wake out of its slumber and it lumbered in the same state. This is the law of inertia of a inert state, the state being Bihar. While the whole country shrugged off the indolence and lunged forward , Bihar staggered and chugged , tottering towards its fall.

Today humbled by the loss of power in Bihar, RJD is playing the dirty game of caste politics again. Ironically the targets this time are the downtrodden and poor whose very cause the RJD claimed to champion . Embittered with the loss , it vented its anger on the hapless BC s( Backward Castes ) in bihar for not voting for the regime. Instead of fueling the already raging fires of casteism , which if rages on for long would engulf the entire state , Laloo should help in establishing a congenial environment in which the state could prosper. Laloo in his tenure spanning the better part of last two decades promised much but delivered little. Even the Yadavs did not benefit much under him except perhaps a false notion of power and prosperity . The list of beneficiaries of the regime is very exclusive besides being equally limited and would read like the family tree of Mr Yadav.

With JP movement the monster of Casteism raised its ugly head , the very monster that the movement set out to slay. In the name of Social Justice people started indulging in what we now as "vote bank " politics as the champions of this so called social justice abounded. They swore by JayPrakash Narayan and Lohia but followed their own personal agenda. Laloo prasad Yadav belongs to this school of thought, but let us not blame everything on Mr Yadav . He is simply carrying forward from where BP Mandal and Karpuri Thakur left.

In the name of social justice Laloo openly asked for a wiping out of forward castes , ( BHOORA BAL). The equation was simple enough :

BHOORA BAL = BHumihar+ Rajput + Brahmin + Lala ( Kayastha)

Mr Yadav , also a firm believer in secularism has his own very interesting notion of the same. Convinced of the fact that India was not following the secular principles envisaged in the constitution and that the popular notion of secularism is flawed, he immediately took upon himself the onerous task of providing a more wholesome and complete definition of secularism. Mr Yadav also has vast experience is providing such concise and correct interpretations of esoteric terms which clears reflects in his very succulent delineating of fundamentals of socialism, communalism , communism and all such -isms. Mr Yadav's abundant and adequate love for his people can be guaged simply by following the curious nomenclature he has for his votebank--which he so aptly and in a uniquely touching fashion calls as MY votebank . This at once conveys his pride , affection and solictitude for MY or rather HIS votebank. Till date Mr Yadav has been wisely and diligently regulating the composition of this exclusive club , with the membership granted to Muslims and Yadavs and also has prevented himself from falling into the trap of practicising parochial and narrow minded politics so blatantly being followed by parties like the BJP who only concern themselves with Hindus ( Though I am not sure if this allegation is entirely true as BJP is just going helter skelter suffering from ideological cataract and opportunistic myopia at the same time).

And ofcourse Laloo jee swears by Democracy and socialism. We need more perspective on this. Socialism has acquired a very parochial definition in India . What we follow is not social justice but SOCIAL REVENGE. It sets out to avenge the wrongs committed by forefathers of socially forward caste people on those not so previleged. Reservation in jobs , promotions , admissions in colleges and now even in primary schools are glaring examples of this skewed mentality. For social justice to prosper and India to be a functional democracy caste based reservation system should be abolished as reservations have clearly outlived their purpose. It should be strictly on economic grounds as it is more a question of CLASS than Caste. Following the present logic for reservations , a poor brahmin student would not get any reservation but sons of KR Narayanan , Ram Vilas Paswan and their likes would enjoy its fruits. Is this what we mean by social justice , I hope not.

Thank God for small mercies , clearly the Lord has been benevolent in granting us a magnanimous soul in Mr Yadav whose actions are all guided by the solitary motive of upliftment of people to heaven, in which he has been successful to a great extent , his absolute success only thwarted somehow by the unscrupulous and opportunistic alliance of few vested interests.

Hindus & Sikhs : Children of a lesser God

Another politician , a "Bahubali" bites the dust . Besides the anti-social and political ramifications , there is certainly a Socio-Religious side to the gruesome murder in cold blod. Mr. Rai was a bhumihar leader from UP's eastern part also called Purvanchal (includes Bihar as well). This entire belt has seen a selective population explosion , that is , a tremendous increase in population which be attributed mostly , if not entirely, to the muslims. Ghazipur , Azamgadh and MAU has a sizeable muslim population.Now let us digress from this . Talk of MAU brings us to the topic of recent communal rights there , which most of the " well-informed" people would be aware of . Media reported it as "Communal riots in MAU , several "people" killed. Well what it didnt tell us is that most of these "people" belonged to the same community : HINDUS and ofcourse Hindus are children of a lesser GOD but that is not all. They are not alone in this : SIKHS too are children of the same lesser God. Perhaps only "Islamic God" or Allah , whose ONLY prophet is Mohammed ( May peace be upon him) is all powerful. Clearly omnipresent , All Mighty , omnipotent and Fully Armed.

The riots in MAU started when Hindus were taking out a procession , the occassion being "Bharat Milap". This didnt register well with the "peaceful muslims" and so they felt obliged to attack it when the procession passed through their "sphere of influence". This ofcourse, they did in full conformance with their religious laws and duties which mandates that Kafirs and idolators should be killed and their places of worship destroyed.
Having accomplished their goal of disrupting the procession of the "infidels" the pious and religious moslems rallied to do the next logical thing: resort to arsoning , killing and mass scale plunder.

We should not blame muslims but overselves. We have been dormant for too long . Even Geeta preaches "Shatham prati shathiyet" . After Guru Gobind Singh's murder by a muslim who was part of Guru's Fauj, there was a policy which said "Dont Befriend a Turk ( a muslim) even if he is the only person left on Earth".

As I pointed out earlier , Hindus are not alone in this, Sikhs have suffered greatly. Firstly at the Hands of Congress in 1984 and then at the hands of kashmiris in J&K.

Why doesn't media clearly say that Hindus were and are still being butchered in MAU. Why perpetrators of riots against the SIKHS are yet to be brought to book? Why is it that when Hindus retaliate in Gujarat , secular spirit of the country is hurt and its image tarnished but when Hindus are massacred , secularism does just fine. Is it that the secular health of the nation is inseperably linked with the wellbeing of just one community : muslims? Is it that a muslim life is dearer to India than a Hindu / Sikh life? Are Hindus / Sikhs second class citizens in their own country? Is this a reward for Hindus being nationalistic and for Sikhs who guard the borders? Or is it a reward for muslims for being traitors and terrorists? I guess they had to be amply rewarded for Sarojini Nagar , Mumbai Blasts and Chittisinghpura.

Nathuram Godse's speech

Nathuram Godse had this to say in his defense. Gopal Godse is no more and this is dedicated to this unsung patriot and nationalist who gave the best years of his life so the Generation of today could live in peace. RIP --> Shri NathuRam Godse, Shri Narayan Apte and Shri Gopal Godse. They knew that their lives would be doomed without any possibility of relief but still they went ahead with their mission for the sake of the nation . Nathuram Godse's ashes have not been consigned to Ganga as he had willed that his ashes be immersed in Indus in Akhand Bharat ( inclusive of Pakistan). Let us not be oblivious to this supreme act of self denial and sacrifice .

Nathuram Godse's defense speech in court

(This is the speech given by Nathuram Godse in the court when he was tried for the murder of Mahatma Gandhi)

Born in a devotional Brahmin family, I instinctively came to revere Hindu religion, Hindu history and Hindu culture. I had, therefore, been intensely proud of Hinduism as a whole. As I grew up I developed a tendency to free thinking unfettered by any superstitious allegiance to any isms, political or religious. That is why I worked actively for the eradication of untouchability and the caste system based on birth alone. I openly joined anti-caste movements and maintained that all Hindus were of equal status as to rights, social and religious and should be considered high or low on merit alone and not through the accident of birth in a particular caste or profession. I used publicly to take part in organized anti-caste dinners in which thousands of Hindus, Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaisyas, Chamars and Bhangis participated. We broke the caste rules and dined in the company of each other.

I have read the speeches and writings of Dadabhai Nairoji, Vivekanand, Gokhale, Tilak, along with the books of ancient and modern history of India and some prominent countries like England, France, America and' Russia. Moreover I studied the tenets of Socialism and Marxism. But above all I studied very closely whatever Veer Savarkar and Gandhiji had written and spoken, as to my mind these two ideologies have contributed more to the moulding of the thought and action of the Indian people during the last thirty years or so, than any other single factor has done.

All this reading and thinking led me to believe it was my first duty to serve Hindudom and Hindus both as a patriot and as a world citizen. To secure the freedom and to safeguard the just interests of some thirty crores (300 million) of Hindus would automatically constitute the freedom and the well being of all India, one fifth of human race. This conviction led me naturally to devote myself to the Hindu Sanghtanist ideology and programme, which alone, I came to believe, could win and preserve the national independence of Hindustan, my Motherland, and enable her to render true service to humanity as well.

Since the year 1920, that is, after the demise of Lokamanya Tilak, Gandhiji's influence in the Congress first increased and then became supreme. His activities for public awakening were phenomenal in their intensity and were reinforced by the slogan of truth and non-violence, which he paraded ostentatiously before the country. No sensible or enlightened person could object to those slogans. In fact there is nothing new or original in them. They are implicit in every constitutional public movement. But it is nothing but a mere dream if you imagine that the bulk of mankind is, or can ever become, capable of scrupulous adherence to these lofty principles in its normal life from day to day. In fact, honour, duty and love of one's own kith and kin and country might often compel us to disregard non-violence and to use force. I could never conceive that an armed resistance to an aggression is unjust. I would consider it a religious and moral duty to resist and, if possible, to overpower such an enemy by use of force. [In the Ramayana] Rama killed Ravana in a tumultuous fight and relieved Sita. [In the Mahabharata], Krishna killed Kansa to end his wickedness; and Arjuna had to fight and slay quite a number of his friends and relations including the revered Bhishma because the latter was on the side of the aggressor. It is my firm belief that in dubbing Rama, Krishna and Arjuna as guilty of violence, the Mahatma betrayed a total ignorance of the springs of human action.

In more recent history, it was the heroic fight put up by Chhatrapati Shivaji that first checked and eventually destroyed the Muslim tyranny in India. It was absolutely essentially for Shivaji to overpower and kill an aggressive Afzal Khan, failing which he would have lost his own life. In condemning history's towering warriors like Shivaji, Rana Pratap and Guru Gobind Singh as misguided patriots, Gandhiji has merely exposed his self-conceit. He was, paradoxical, as it may appear, a violent pacifist who brought untold calamities on the country in the name of truth and non-violence, while Rana Pratap, Shivaji and the Guru will remain enshrined in the hearts of their countrymen forever for the freedom they brought to them.

The accumulating provocation of thirty-two years, culminating in his last pro-Muslim fast, at last goaded me to the conclusion that the existence of Gandhi should be brought to an end immediately. Gandhi had done very well in South Africa to uphold the rights and well being of the Indian community there. But when he finally returned to India he developed a subjective mentality under which he alone was to be the final judge of what was right or wrong. If the country wanted his leadership, it had to accept his infallibility; if it did not, he would stand aloof from the Congress and carry on his own way. Against such an attitude there can be no halfway house. Either Congress had to surrender its will to his and had to be content with playing second fiddle to all his eccentricity, whimsicality, metaphysics and primitive vision, or it had to carry on without him. He alone was the Judge of everyone and everything; he was the master brain guiding the civil disobedience movement; no other could know the technique of that movement. He alone knew when to begin and when to withdraw it. The movement might succeed or fail, it might bring untold disaster and political reverses but that could make no difference to the Mahatma's infallibility. 'A Satyagrahi can never fail' was his formula for declaring his own infallibility and nobody except himself knew what a Satyagrahi is.

Thus, the Mahatma became the judge and jury in his own cause. These childish insanities and obstinacies, coupled with a most severe austerity of life, ceaseless work and lofty character made Gandhi formidable and irresistible. Many people thought that his politics were irrational but they had either to withdraw from the Congress or place their intelligence at his feet to do with, as he liked. In a position of such absolute irresponsibility Gandhi was guilty of blunder after blunder, failure after failure, disaster after disaster.

Gandhi's pro-Muslim policy is blatantly in his perverse attitude on the question of the national language of India. It is quite obvious that Hindi has the most prior claim to be accepted as the premier language. In the beginning of his career in India, Gandhi gave a great impetus to Hindi but as he found that the Muslims did not like it, he became a champion of what is called Hindustani. Everybody in India knows that there is no language called Hindustani; it has no grammar; it has no vocabulary. It is a mere dialect; it is spoken, but not written. It is a bastard tongue and crossbreed between Hindi and Urdu, and not even the Mahatma's sophistry could make it popular. But in his desire to please the Muslims he insisted that Hindustani alone should be the national language of India. His blind followers, of course, supported him and the so-called hybrid language began to be used. The charm and purity of the Hindi language was to be prostituted to please the Muslims. All his experiments were at the expense of the Hindus.

From August 1946 onwards the private armies of the Muslim League began a massacre of the Hindus. The then Viceroy, Lord Wavell, though distressed at what was happening, would not use his powers under the Government of India Act of 1935 to prevent the rape, murder and arson. The Hindu blood began to flow from Bengal to Karachi with some retaliation by the Hindus. The Interim Government formed in September was sabotaged by its Muslim League members right from its inception, but the more they became disloyal and treasonable to the government of which they were a part, the greater was Gandhi's infatuation for them. Lord Wavell had to resign as he could not bring about a settlement and he was succeeded by Lord Mountbatten. King Log was followed by King Stork.

The Congress, which had boasted of its nationalism and socialism, secretly accepted Pakistan literally at the point of the bayonet and abjectly surrendered to Jinnah. India was vivisected and one-third of the Indian territory became foreign land to us from August 15, 1947. Lord Mountbatten came to be described in Congress circles as the greatest Viceroy and Governor-General this country ever had. The official date for handing over power was fixed for June 30, 1948, but Mountbatten with his ruthless surgery gave us a gift of vivisected India ten months in advance. This is what Gandhi had achieved after thirty years of undisputed dictatorship and this is what Congress party calls 'freedom' and 'peaceful transfer of power'. The Hindu-Muslim unity bubble was finally burst and a theocratic state was established with the consent of Nehru and his crowd and they have called 'freedom won by them with sacrifice' - whose sacrifice? When top leaders of Congress, with the consent of Gandhi, divided and tore the country - which we consider a deity of worship - my mind was filled with direful anger.

One of the conditions imposed by Gandhi for his breaking of the fast unto death related to the mosques in Delhi occupied by the Hindu refugees. But when Hindus in Pakistan were subjected to violent attacks he did not so much as utter a single word to protest and censure the Pakistan Government or the Muslims concerned. Gandhi was shrewd enough to know that while undertaking a fast unto death, had he imposed for its break some condition on the Muslims in Pakistan, there would have been found hardly any Muslims who could have shown some grief if the fast had ended in his death. It was for this reason that he purposely avoided imposing any condition on the Muslims. He was fully aware of from the experience that Jinnah was not at all perturbed or influenced by his fast and the Muslim League hardly attached any value to the inner voice of Gandhi.

Gandhi is being referred to as the Father of the Nation. But if that is so, he had failed his paternal duty inasmuch as he has acted very treacherously to the nation by his consenting to the partitioning of it. I stoutly maintain that Gandhi has failed in his duty. He has proved to be the Father of Pakistan. His inner-voice, his spiritual power and his doctrine of non-violence of which so much is made of, all crumbled before Jinnah's iron will and proved to be powerless.

Briefly speaking, I thought to myself and foresaw I shall be totally ruined, and the only thing I could expect from the people would be nothing but hatred and that I shall have lost all my honour, even more valuable than my life, if I were to kill Gandhiji. But at the same time I felt that the Indian politics in the absence of Gandhiji would surely be proved practical, able to retaliate, and would be powerful with armed forces. No doubt, my own future would be totally ruined, but the nation would be saved from the inroads of Pakistan. People may even call me and dub me as devoid of any sense or foolish, but the nation would be free to follow the course founded on the reason which I consider to be necessary for sound nation-building. After having fully considered the question, I took the final decision in the matter, but I did not speak about it to anyone whatsoever. I took courage in both my hands and I did fire the shots at Gandhiji on 30th January 1948, on the prayer-grounds of Birla House.

I do say that my shots were fired at the person whose policy and action had brought rack and ruin and destruction to millions of Hindus. There was no legal machinery by which such an offender could be brought to book and for this reason I fired those fatal shots.

I bear no ill will towards anyone individually but I do say that I had no respect for the present government owing to their policy, which was unfairly favourable towards the Muslims. But at the same time I could clearly see that the policy was entirely due to the presence of Gandhi. I have to say with great regret that Prime Minister Nehru quite forgets that his preachings and deeds are at times at variances with each other when he talks about India as a secular state in season and out of season, because it is significant to note that Nehru has played a leading role in the establishment of the theocratic state of Pakistan, and his job was made easier by Gandhi's persistent policy of appeasement towards the Muslims.

I now stand before the court to accept the full share of my responsibility for what I have done and the judge would, of course, pass against me such orders of sentence as may be considered proper. But I would like to add that I do not desire any mercy to be shown to me, nor do I wish that anyone else should beg for mercy on my behalf. My confidence about the moral side of my action has not been shaken even by the criticism levelled against it on all sides. I have no doubt that honest writers of history will weigh my act and find the true value thereof some day in future.

Miasmic Milieu -- The story so Far!

The Indian conventional wisdom is AT it again . Let's analyse things: Abu Salem , the dreaded Mumbai Don and a D-Company "key resource" is brought back to India after 10 years of cat & mouse race. The cost incurred by the government : a cool 50 crores and still counting . Ofcourse we paid for it , we who pay the taxes. And to what end , when we cannot hang him or even sentence him to life. Thousands of people died and received a paltry sum as compensation . There are families who lost their sole earning member and struggle hard to make the ends meet and often cannot afford two square meals. There are people who lost their limbs and now life is a living hell for them. Now let us compare this to a day is Abu Salem's life in "judicial custody" . He orders his favourite food mostly consisting of biryanis , kebabs and exotic food of various kinds. He gets his designer after shave and soaps. Ofcourse nobody seems to question what has Abu Salem done to deserve this princely treatment. I am sure Indian Government is doing its best to assuage and mitigate the pain,suffering and a sense of loss of people who suffered during the Mumbai Blasts.
Sanjay Dutts and Salman Khans roam freely . Salman drinks himself crazy and mows down a dozen of hapless labourers. Sanjay Dutt acts a storekeeper for arms and ammunitions provided by the D Company . He is acquitted. Their links with the underworld have been proved. Also,
Abu Salem is guaranteed to get a let off with no punishment or only a minor sentence of couple of years. And we are supposed to believe the Government everytime it says "Guilty would not be spared and they will be held responsible and brought to book". After being free , Abu Salem has a very modest business worth 3000 crores to fall back on. And then the Logical thing to do for him would be to contest elections and become a respected politician . Ofcourse this would be the apotheosis of secularism in India. We would succeeded in making even a dreaded gangster of the minority community a successful and respected politician , maybe even a minister.

MF Hussain's paintings(Artistic license or sacrilege)

Decide for your selves!!! Will he try the same with Islamic figures and personalities . Why can't MF hussain make use of such incidences from Islamic history rather than letting his senility get better of him. To hindus Sita and Hanuman shared a mother-son relationship . Such denegration is an affront. But we let MF Hussain carry this out and a certain section of "broadminded , secular thinking and forward looking " intellectuals are not only willing to look the other way but also provide active as well tacit support to Mr Hussain . All in the name of "Artistic license" . Unless we suffer from selective amnesia , the same Broadminded intellectuals with secular leanings and proven credentials were crying murder just because the movie "Gaddar" had Sakina as the name of the protagonist who marries a sikh and applies sindoor. If Muslims take this as unacceptable , then how can Hindus be expected to bear with people like MF Hussain?

15) No other religion preaches hatred and intolerance against other religions. Sikhism suffered a lot under muslim rulers. Most of their Gurus and their followers were brutally massacred and butchered. Still Sikhism never preached hatred against Islam. Guru Gobind Singhjee drafted muslims in his army .Result: He was murdered in his sleep.

We always want to correct the wrongs committed in the past. Eg the wrongs against Jews by thte Nazis or the wrongs against blacks by the whites . Why is it that there is invariably no redressal of the wrongs committed against the Hindus?

20) Why is sacrifice and tolerance be expected only of Hindus ? Why should one particualr religion continue to bear the brunt of muslim brutalities inflicted upon it ? Why ask us to give up Ayodhaya and Mathura When they are OURS .

Para 17 Soora 21 Ayat 98 :Lo! Ye (Idolaters) and that which ye worship beside Allah are fuel of hell. There unto ye will come.

Para 6 Soora 5 Ayat 51 : - O Ye who believe! Take not the Jews and Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who take them for friends is (is one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrong doing fork. (In the beginning Jew Parsis and Christians were the target. After that the axe of aggression turned on to Hindus).

Para 11 Soora 9 Ayat 123 : - O ye who believe! Fight thosee of the disbeliveers who are near to you and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto him).

Para 10 Soora 9 Ayat 28 :- O ye who believe! The idolaters only are unclean (Na-pak). So let them not come near the inviolable place of worship (i.e. Kaba) after this year.

Para 11 Soora UNUS Ayat 4 : - He may reward those who believe and do good works with quality, while as for those who disbelieve, their will be a boiling drink and painful doom because they disbelieved.

Para 11 Soora 10 Ayat 105 : - And (Oh Mohammed!) set thy purpose resolutely for religion, as a man by nature upright, and be not of those who ascribe partner (to Allah) (Worshipers of many Gods.)

Para 11 Soora UNUS Ayat 18 : - They worship besides Allah that which neither hurteth them nor profiteth them, and they say “these are our intercessors with Allah. “Would ye say ye inform Allh of something that he knoweth not in the heavens or in the earth ? Praised be He and high exulted above all that ye associate (with Him). It was this blind faith that prompted Kutubuddin and the class to destroy the huge observatory consisting of the twenty seven temples. Although he as not recorded about the destruction of the storage of books it can very well be imagined that he destroyed ever source of knowledge, which according to him was anti islamic. The ignorance, because of his faith, was so grave. He hated beauty in the idols too. Thus, what he destroyed was the observatory.
By breaking the idols he served the cause of Allah and by looting the gold and jewels he served his own cause of enjoying the wealth.

Para 10 Soora 8 Ayat 69 : - Now enjoy what you have won as lawful and good and keep your duty to Allay. Lo! Allah is forgiving, merciful! Booty included Women of “Non-believers”. They may be unmarried or married. The women were those whose husbands have been beheaded or those whose husbands have been held as captives. These men’s relation with their wives, comes to an end as per “islamic law”. The women become articles of booty. See, Quran Para 5 Sura 4, An-Nisa, Ayat 24. Also commentary Maktaba Alhasanat, Rampur, Translator Abu Saleem Mohmmed Abdul Hai, Third edition.

Para 26 Soora 48 Ayat 20 : - Allah promiseth you much booty thatt ye will capture …… It was a mere show that “He”, i.e. Kutubuddin “Constructed” a mosque out of the debris of the fallen temples. In his time the Vishnu Mandir was already there. After destroying the idols and making some changes he named it as Masjid-e-jame.
The 27 temples must have been with a conical pinnacle on them. Had they been adorned with egg shaped pinnacles, or domes, the destroyer would have retained them and, after removing idols and obtaining wealth deposited by the Hindu Builder in the past, would have boasted of having “built” 27 mosques!.
